Reports
ShopPAK generates lots of reports. Each report has a number of setup options, filters, and sorts. This gives users many options for customizing a given report to their particular needs.
The best way to familiarize yourself with ShopPAK reports is to generate examples on your own. Experiment with different filter and sort options so you can see their affect on the generated report. Get acquainted with how information is organized in the report menu structure, and what type of report format is available under each sub-menu. For example, labor statistics are available in several areas: Employee, Department and Job. Depending on your specific area of interest, each sub-menu category will present information formatted and/or grouped differently. Some reports may focus on Employee or Department productivity; others use the same labor statistics to analyze job profitability.
As you sample the wide variety of reports ShopPAK offers, you will discover both summary and detail formats. If a summary-level report points out a possible issue, use the associated detail reports to help ‘dig out’ lower level details as to why numbers are higher or lower than expected.
