Quote Request versus Purchase Order
Information from a quote request does not flow automatically into a purchase order. Too many things can change between generating a quote request, receiving a quote request back from a vendor and creating a purchase order. Use Quote Request to gather vendor prices and update vendor prices for the individual materials they supply. Once the prices are saved in the database, choose the best supplier based on price and timing and create a purchase order using PO Builder.
