Finished Goods Processing
Most of our users deal in custom fabricated products, so they typically purchase ‘raw materials’ and add value to them as they fabricate them into products. This is refered to as a ‘make to order’ or ‘engineer to order’ manufacturer. ShopPAK also supports ‘make to stock’ and ‘purchase to stock’ situations as well. Certainly this is not usually the case, but ShopPAK customers will occasionally have a need for this capability.
This section explains how to use ShopPAK when processing ‘Purchase to Stock’ and ‘Make to Stock’ finished goods. ‘Finished Goods’ includes completed products for future sale, as well as, sub-assemblies to be used later when fabricating some other job.
