Product and Material Import

If you use a CAD or optimizer / nesting program to create finalized lists of engineered products and bills of material, and if your engineering program creates export files, you can easily import engineered product and material data into a ShopPAK work order.

ShopPAK reads comma, vertical bar, or tab delimited text files.  It provides ‘mapping’ so you can tie import file columns to their corresponding ShopPAK fields, regardless of the sequence of columns in the import file.  You can even save ‘mappings’ so you only have to set up an import map once.

The benefit of using ShopPAK’s import facility is it eliminates the time consuming process of keeping ShopPAK work orders in sync with engineering changes.

Automating the process of synchronizing work order information with engineered changes cuts down on data entry errors, significantly decreases the time to identify and order materials, and it ensures that products listed on a work order match current engineered product definitions and attributes (e.g. width, height, and depth).  This makes generating product labels and verifying shipping tickets faster and easier.
